It was great to see so many familiar faces at the reunion. I wish I could have spoken to each and everyone of you. By the way, has anyone seen or heard about any of the following teachers---Mrs. Runge, Mrs. Riggs, Mr. Yee, Mrs. Jossis, Miss Montague, and Mr. Berman?

It has been a long time, yet it seems so quickly. At times I don't feel any older, just more seasoned. I have had multiple careers and currently I am working as a Home Care Nurse and loving it. I hae been with my partner for 25 years and have two children with no grandchildren in sight. I look forward to seeing everyone and touching base. See you there

Thanks so much for the invitation to your 40th Class Reunion. Time does fly doesn’t it? Whatever became of those young people that I taught at SLZ? My high school class recently had our 50th reunion. I became a rookie Rebel Teacher in September of 1964 and hadn’t been around very long when all of you graduated at the end of the following school year. So I am thinking that my presence at your reunion would add very little. For the record, I continued at SLZ for 31 years and retired June 15, 1995. When I came to Rebel City I was hired as a science teacher. However, about 10 years later Dr. Snider and Joe Yee were having problems filling up the Math Department schedule and they asked me if I would be willing to teach an Algebra class. I had always enjoyed math in both high school and college so I accepted. I loved it. One thing lead to another such that I became more and more interested in math, attended classes at night, taught more math and less science. I ultimately earned the equivalent of another degree in mathematics and became a full-time math teacher. I am actively enjoying retirement….fishing, travel, and volunteer work with the American Cancer Society and for the Amador Livermore Valley Historical Society. Congratulations to The Class of 1966 on the 40th Anniversary of your graduation. Many happy returns. Bill Lathlean
